Lorantffy Care Center has implemented an on-line donation capacity for safe, secure, and convenient giving. Likewise, donors that wish to mail or personally deliver a donation are welcome to do so. Lorantffy Care Center is a non-profit 501 3(c) organization. All donations are tax deductible.


Current Fundraiser

Water and Sewer Tie In
By the end of 2007, Lorantffy Care Center will have completed the monumental task of tying into the City of Akron water and sewer lines.  Until now we have been utilizing a well system and treating the water in a treatment facility located adjacent to our main building.  The treatment facility was built in tandem with the Lorantffy Care Center and while still operable and safe, it is time to update our system.  This extraordinary effort is both labor and cost intensive.  Your donation earmarked to this fund will greatly assist us in this endeavor.

Ongoing Fundraisers
When making a donation to Lorantffy Care Center, you are welcome to denote how the donation is applied.  Following are a few fund categories that always require replenishing.


Birthday Party Fund
Your donation of $50 provides a cake and ice cream party for residents in our facility.  While some family members see to it that their loved ones enjoy a facility-wide birthday party, some residents have little or no family.  We want everyone to feel welcome and loved and therefore celebrate everyone’s birthday, if they so choose.


Beauty Parlor Fund
Though services at our in-house beauty parlor are nominal, some residents are unable to afford regular hair and nail services.  We all know how wonderful we feel when we look good and are well manicured.  Your donation will “sponsor” a resident to enjoy up to a year’s worth of services.


Activity Fund
Natural wear and tear happens to even the most well-cared-for games.  Your donation to the activity fund will mean that our residents can enjoy updated versions or even new activity or board games.  In addition, any donation allocated to this category can also be put toward buying books for our library or purchasing new movies or TV show DVDs.   

Feel at Home
Lorantffy Care Center is always in pursuit of updating our beds, mattresses, resident furniture, and resident room amenities.  Your donation to this category can mean the naming of a room in your honor.  It can also mean that a resident receives a new blanket or bedspread, lamp, or other items that make their room feel more like home.
