Nursing Home
Lorantffy Care Center offers both skilled and intermediate care.  Both levels offer assistance in eating, bathing, getting dressed and activities of daily living.

Rehabilitation
Lorantffy Care Center welcomes residents for rehabilitation services, be it for a short- or long-term stay.  Our staff of licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists will develop a rehabilitation regimen to assist a resident recover from a fall, stroke or other serious ailment or incident.  

Our rehabilitation services offer one-on-one exercises as well as group activities, based on a resident’s physical and mental limitations.  All rehab services and techniques are discussed and monitored by the resident’s physician.

Short and Long Term Stay
Lorantffy Care Center offers both short and long term stays, depending upon the physician’s prognosis and the desires of the resident and their family.

Palliative and Hospice Care
Palliative and Hospice care for residents at Lorantffy Care Center is provided by Hospice of Summa, VNS Hospice, and Hospice of the Western Reserve.  These providers are called in upon the request of a resident, family or legal guardian, or based on the recommendation of a physician.

Although Palliative care and Hospice are similar in their comfort orientation, there are differences in the two types of care.

Palliative care is offered to residents who are undergoing treatment for serious illness.  Palliative care addresses the pain and other symptoms associated with serious illness as well as addresses the emotional, social, and spiritual issues also faced.

Hospice care focuses on providing medical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual support for terminally ill residents and their families.

Oversight and Policies of Palliative and Hospice Care Providers
Lorantffy Care Center and The Ohio Department of Health monitor and oversee to the services provided by Palliative and Hospice caregivers.
